Linocut print inspired by the flowers that grow on the sides of the roads in Maine.
5.5" x 7.5"
My drives through the central coast of Maine were filled with late purple aster this past August. I made a bouquet of them with common yellow tansy and purple clover that I kept in my butane stove pot as I drove back down south. Stars in the print hint to the old Maine flag and the origin of 'aster'.
Prints are made by hand and have a variation in texture that is natural to printmaking.
